Constantly Calibrating originally began as the fever dream of two longtime friends, who coincidentally were obsessed with the same video game series: Mass Effect. In an effort to record our obviously hilarious conversational skills, we sat down to record an episode focused on our thoughts on the final game in the series shortly after completion.
It was terrible.
However, despite lacking in quality it was through that experience that we both developed a passion for podcasting and the like. This led to the creation of Constantly Calibrating, a focus place for nerd and geek culture, which ultimately turned into a mini-hub for other podcasts; these include our Doctor Who themed podcast After Who, and several others in different stages of development or completion with our ‘Calibrating Partners’.
Constantly Calibrating has since grown from a two-person podcasting team into a group of just over half a dozen, all working or assisting in different aspects. Our co-host on Constantly Calibrating, Brad Coggins, assists in writing duties and working on new ideas for current and future podcasts, while Charnell Silverman continues to design new logos and imagery for the site as needed. We have team members that work on monthly articles reviewing everything from films to novels, while we’re still in development on our first web comic, which we hope to debut sometime this year.
Constantly Calibrating is busy in its efforts to grow as both a destination for geek/nerd-related podcast content, as well as additional content through partnerships with Geek News Network and The Mega Men Podcast.
